Zero Data Collection
TrackForcePro does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data
processing happens locally in your browser.
Introduction
TrackForcePro is a browser extension built to help Salesforce administrators and developers work
more efficiently. Whether you're auditing data, building queries, or exploring records, this
extension keeps everything under your control—right in your browser.
What We Don't Collect
We don't collect any personal data. Not your queries, not your audit trails, not
your Salesforce credentials. The extension never sends information to us or to any external servers.
Everything stays on your device, in your browser, under your control.
How Your Data Stays Local
When you use TrackForcePro:
-
Authentication: Your Salesforce session is used only to authenticate with
Salesforce's own APIs. We never see your credentials.
-
Query Results: Data you retrieve is displayed in the extension and isn't stored
unless you export it yourself.
-
Your Preferences: Settings like theme choice, column widths, and shortcuts are
saved locally in your browser, not on our servers.
-
Audit & Explorer Data: All searches, record lookups, and data explorations
happen between your browser and Salesforce only.
Browser Permissions Explained
TrackForcePro needs a few permissions to work. Here's what each one does in plain English:
-
Tab Access: Lets us detect when you're on a Salesforce page so we can offer
helpful features right where you need them.
-
Cookies: Helps us read your Salesforce session info so you don't have to log in
twice. Also serves as a fallback if the service worker restarts.
-
Local Storage: Saves your preferences — theme, keyboard shortcuts, query
history, per-org settings, and saved queries — on your device only.
-
Content Scripting: Lets us inject helpful tools directly on Salesforce pages —
the Show All Data panel, Sidebar, and custom favicons.
-
Context Menus: Enables the right-click menu on Salesforce pages for quick
access to Show All Data, Field History, Sharing, SOQL Builder, and Copy Record ID.
-
Browsing Data: Used only for cache management features within the extension. We
never clear your browsing data without your action.
-
Salesforce Domains: Allows the extension to communicate with Salesforce APIs
(*.salesforce.com, *.force.com, *.lightning.force.com, *.visualforce.com) when you use query
builders, records explorer, org tools, and audit features.
Cross-Browser Support
TrackForcePro is currently available on the Chrome Web Store and on Firefox Add-ons, while Edge
remains a docs placeholder until that listing is live. No matter which browser you use, the same
privacy principles apply: your data stays local, no external collection, no tracking. The extension
uses Manifest V3 — the latest and most secure extension framework.
Third-Party Services
TrackForcePro does not use tracking pixels, advertising networks, or any data-harvesting services.
The only external service it communicates with is Salesforce — the org you're already logged into.
No analytics, no telemetry. The extension does not collect or transmit usage data
of any kind. Earlier versions shipped an optional GA4 analytics toggle; that was removed and no
replacement is planned.
Data You Control
Your preferences and saved data are yours to manage:
-
Export all settings, query history, and per-org data as JSON (Settings > Backup > Quick
Export)
-
Import settings from a backup file to restore or migrate (Settings > Backup > Quick
Import)
- Clear all data directly in the Settings tab
- Uninstall the extension at any time — all local data is removed automatically
- Your Salesforce data is never stored unless you explicitly export it
- Inline editing can be disabled per org for extra safety (Settings > Org Management)
